Your safety is paramount at our event.
We do everything we can to make it a safe, family event, but we need your help. Times are changing and we all need to be vigilant at events these days.

WE HAVE AN AMBULANCE ON SITE AT PEAK TIMES THAT WILL BE ALERTED BY EVENT CONTROL WHEN A FIRST AIDER OR MARSHALL IS MADE AWARE.
For minor scrapes and trips please seek help from Event control, a Marshall or first aider who will assist you.
All incidents should be reported to event control who will take basic details.
Lost children
If you lose or find a child please report it to the Police, First Aider or Marshal and always to Event Control. The child will be kept at Event Control by two DBS checked medical volunteers and an announcement made for the parents/ guardians.
Note that we will not hand over a child unless you can describe the child, what they are wearing, produce ID matching the child’s surname and show us photos of the child on your phone from previous days. If you cannot, we will refer the child to the Police until they are satisfied for the child’s safety. Please do not argue with our volunteers, the child’s safety is paramount, and we didn’t lose them. Thank you.
How we keep you safe
Our event is planned with the councils, emergency services and Derbyshire Security Advisory Group (DESAG) well in advance. A medical plan is produced by a professional medical services company and approved by NWAS and EMAS. The appropriate levels of ambulances, doctors, para medics, first aiders and first responders are defined and provided.
We do not let the event go ahead if we or the Police have any indication of danger. So please do not worry, we expect it to be safe but have to plan if something happens. That’s why we run through our major incident plan before the event with DESAG and our Marshalls.
With all that said, and we are all prepared, we can get on and have a safe happy event for everyone – thank you!
